FMS Putting Safety First
Most fuel related accidents occur on mine sites due to tank overfilling, fuel spillage and internal over-pressurization of the tank.
The risks are fire, injury or loss of life, environmental damage, asset loss and operational disruption.
VERIDAPT’s AdaptFMS mitigates these risks by:
- Automating and controlling of fuel flow rates
- Identifying vehicles and assigning the correct refuelling equipment and flow rate
- Preventing manual overriding of automated dispensing by operators during refuelling
- AdaptMAC warning operators of any anomalies during the refuelling process via alerts on touchscreens, such as pressure or pumpfill alerts
- Operator generated field fault reporting and alarm activation of spills, leaks or maintenance repairs etc via the AdaptMAC
Maximise Diesel Tax Rebate
Fuel is one of the mining industries biggest expenses. The Australian mining industry consumes over 5 billion litres of diesel per year.
Forecasters see diesel prices continuing to rise for the foreseeable future. Blended hydrocarbon fuels are increasing in price in step with greater usage in the mining sector. The Australian Tax Office has devised rebate schemes for these future fuels.
Digital fuel management platform, AdaptFMS accounts for every litre burned. This ensures streamlined accounting and documenting to maximise diesel tax rebates.
How?
- Real-time data capturing and accurate reporting
- Identification of different fuel consuming assets e.g. Light vehicle, heavy vehicle, on-road, off-road, service trucks
- Identification of different fuel types e.g. diesel, biofuels, blended
- Vehicle tracking complimentary to GPS
- Accurate automated audit trail vs time consuming manual data collection
Prevent Theft and Fraud
AdaptFMS greatly reduces risk of fuel theft & fraud. Our features developed to prevent unauthorised fuel dispensing include:
- "No tag: no fuel” policy. Dual authorisation ensures both vehicles and personnel are monitored allowing analysis of cadence and consumption volumes by vehicle and person
- Analyse and report use of RFID tags to authorise vehicles
- Identify and report abnormal refuelling cadence and volumes
- Maintain up-to-date authorised users and equipment data base. (Platform can be integrated to an ERP System or Security system via API to automate this function)
- Establish dispense limits – configure each vehicle with fuel allowance and/or limits per day/ shift/ week/ month
- AdaptIQ reports on highest consumption by equipment and/or person.
- Field fault override – in the absence of personnel or vehicle RFID tags, fuel can be dispensed following a valid explanation via the AdaptMAC touchscreen or notifying designated supervisor
- Remote Supervisor Override challenge issuing a one-time pin code
- AdaptIQ alerts and alarms – our AdaptMAC features multiple real-time emails or alerts indicating a field controller AdaptMAC is placed into an override mode, allowing for fuel dispensing unauthorised with all product movements monitored/captured in the background with the capability to identify equipment in the vicinity at the time of movement
